I've been kicking around the idea of developing a traction control system similar to the racelogics system that is no longer available. Given the high price tag that came with the racelogics unit, cost would be a big factor. A work colleague and I ran down some numbers for the hardware and it looks like hitting a unit cost of ~$250 is feasible. At this price point, would there be interest in the 300zx community to pursue this endeavor? Quick technical overview: Mode of operation would be fuel cut based on wheel slippage. Adjustable traction settings supported with launch control. Additional detailed settings would be entered using a USB or serial interface via windows PC interface. Basically replicate racelogic system at greatly reduced price.
